The Inspire Career Awareness entity started its work in 2010 at Moses Mabhida High School in Mdantsane (Eastern Cape). Inspire Career Awareness deals directly with the dissemination of critical information to high school learners located in disadvantaged communities and to former model C schools as well. The foundation targets high schools and youth organisations in townships where volunteers can reach. Annually, the foundation embarks on a Career Awareness Tours to various Eastern Cape based partner schools.
The 2014 tour was held in collaboration with one of the SABC radio stations — Trufm. With resources from the University of Cape Town Career Services, the foundation is well equipped to empower learners with information that will impact their career decisions.
