About IFG Africa

Inspire Foundation Group Africa (NPO - 119-669 | PBO - 930045542) started to operate officially as a formalised organisation in 2011 under the name Aganang Leadership & Education Foundation. The formalised organisational structure emanated from existing educational programmes that were initiated by the founding young professionals from 20010. From 2010, the organisation has taken different forms and embarked on various projects from career awareness workshops to Mathematics and Science tutoring programmes.
From inception, Inspire Foundation Group Africa identified and focused on two main challenges faced by high school learners in disadvantaged communities by:
a) Low pass rates in gateway subjects such as Mathematics and Science in the Eastern Cape.
b) Lack of information penetration about education related development programmes
In its initial stages, IFG Africa aimed to solve the above problems; however with time and more research, the foundation identified other areas of impact. From 2014 the foundation established four main focus streams – Inspire Academy, Inspire School Support, Inspire Personal Development and Inspire Career Awareness - to tackle various educational challenges independently.

To promote academic excellence, develop leadership skills and build a foundation for future generation of African leaders.
